Thanks Adamthorat.
One small doubt, when you say visa, is it the Indian tourist VISA you are referring. Can we get that VISA without having return Ticket to Canada.I was under impression that Tourist VISA can only be possible if I have a return ticket back in Canada.Correct me if wrong.
Also In case we are going back to India and not any plans of travelling back to Canada. Then can we apply OCI in India for the kid with new born's Canadian Passport.
Thanks!

Apparently you HAVE to apply for an Entry Visa and NOT a Tourist visa for your baby..in case you are going the Visa route .
http://www.immihelp.com/nri/indiavisa/entry-visa-india.html
India Entry Visa
Eligibility:
An Entry visa is granted to the following types of applicants:
A person of Indian Origin, defined as a person who has held Indian nationality or is a child or grandchild of a person who has held Indian nationality.
In fact, persons of Indian Origin must apply for an Entry Visa instead of a Tourist Visa.
A spouse or child of a person of Indian Origin.
A spouse or dependent family member of a foreign national coming to India on a long term visa such as Employment, Business, Research or Student. In such cases, the duration of the visa granted will end on the same date as the visa duration of the principal visa holder.
The principal visa holder's visa must be issued before the spouse and dependent family members can apply for their Entry visa.

Thanks adamthorat, for the helps.
Your are correct it is better to stay here for 3-4 months after the delivery and complete the process. That is what I am trying to do .But just making sure in case that doesn't works then I have a alternate route too.
A general rule of thumb is to avoid air travel for a new born until at least they turn a year old. Weigh all the pros and con's carefully since we have had an unfortunate incident occur to one of our CDs. You may search for his post. I hope nothing is more important than the well being of a new born child.
Good luck, travel safe.
