Hi,
I have moved from one house other in Mississauga. I would like to know:
what are the steps to change residence address on the canadian passport.
can someone please help and let me know what steps need to be taken.
Thanks in advance.
You do not need to change the address on the passport, other than strike out the old hand-written address and write a new one. There is no mechanism to change addresses with Passport Canada (that I know of).

You don't need to change the addy at all. People now have 10 yr PP..more often than not they change their residence during those 10 yrs, but don't bother to change the addy.
Do not strike out anything and write something on top of it, it will serve no purpose and just create further hassle for you.
I think the addy is only there in case you lose your PP ..maybe someone can return it to you. .he he
no-one care about handwritten address on passport
Just want to relate an incident in India that happened to me.
I was applying for DL in India in 2011. The Authorities wanted a specific Address proof which was passport / voter ID/ Election card / Ration card etc.. I did not have any of that.
That was when my Canadian passport came handy. I had handwritten my Indian permanent address on that. The RTO official accepted that thinking that a Canadian official wrote it and gave me the DL.
Based on that DL, I now have around 2 Govt .supplied ID proofs like Aadhar card, DL.
