My indian passport got expired 4 months back. How to renew it? I live in vancouver

Read the CGI website / BLS website and follow the instructions.
You will be asked to send the passport (expired) and other documents by post with a return blue dart pre paid cover.
Please read the procedure and then ask us for doubts.

You will get the Indian PP within 1-2 months.
1 month if it gets issued from Vancouver & 2 months if it gets issued from India.
Not sure why you waited this long ?
Do NOT discard your old Indian PP when your NEW one comes in , keep it till you die. You will require that old expired cancelled PP for stupid things like OCI , Visa , Surrender Certificate you name it , due to STUPID Indian embassy laws, rules & regulations

Check the Indian consulate / BLS for details.
The last date for your validity is Nov. 25th. So technically you can travel to USA unless they have the 6 months min. validity rule, which you donot have now.
The best way / option for you is to renew your passport soonest. If you are in the GTA, you can do it comfortably. EVen from Vancouver, you still can renew the passport. Start the process today itself.
