to talk about sex or have nickname mentioning sex etc ...

they should pls wake up. Its better to be awake now and to see the reality rather than being shown by your own kids one day. Your family watches TV and movies, you listen to radio and tv shows and you are living in a society which DOES NOT consider these things to be offending and personally it should be not.

Perhaps these are your beliefs....Kindly do not generalise and slap it on the rest.

Personally, I don't find the ID in question offensive. However I do understand Biomed's concern and Jake highlighted it very well.

Canadiandesi isn't a chat site, its a site with a purpose and we will all endeavour to make it remain such. Someone with an ID like this may not be able to effectively participate in the discussions here and when they start contributing, people will point this out to them.

An id like SEXY_VIXEN is usually created for chatting, dating etc etc. and there's about 700 million sites on the web for that, Canadiandesi isn't the place.

Biomed made a suggestion according to what he felt appropriate and comfortable with and instead of debating the point, I can see a lot of people responding like "Hey, what village you from? Grow up etc etc. Girls in bikinis ". How about we stick to the point instead of morphing this into a "my culture can kick your culture's behind anytime" thread?

Anyways, my opinion is we should let the id remain and give the person a chance. If he/she signed up expressely to find a mate, he/she will realize soon enough this may not be the best place. And if not, he/she probably will take the cue and change the id.

We do however have limits on what we will allow on the site. Absolutely no profanity or material that's deemed offensive or distasteful. Not because I'm a puritanical zealot, but because we're trying to help people through this site.

Lot of discussion on this topic.

I would agree with biomed's concern. Though out site is mainly used by adult, it is not an adult site. We don't ask for birth date or make any disclaimer about it. This is open site for everybody and we do have member of age 12.

With the content around immigration and settlement mostly, this site is being used by families and not by individuals. We have so many examples of active involvment of father and son.

Though that ID has nothing wrong that way as the SEXY word is now common even in India, we don't have any place for such people looking for mats on internet. WE ARE NOT FOR THAT.

As BL pointed out, these kind of guys will soon realize that this site is not for them and they will not participate.

I have bigger concern, people like to copy and learn. What if tomorrow somebody comes with more offensive words?

We should stop somewhere, so why not at this time?

After all we all agree that this site is for purpose and "most cleanest" site on internet, so why not keep it like that?
