Sir,
Talk to the lawyer. Only they can give perfect and correct information.

Document the time. Compare the time with when the first snow fell on the ground.

Slip and fall is mostly after several hours when the snow becomes ice with -0 temps. The lawyer will have all the details.

Generally, all snow paths must be cleaned before 8 hours after the snow ends. It may not be applicable to areas around your cars and may be applicable to pathways , steps / ramps etc.. As said before, your (free) lawyer only can say the final word.

One CD (Desiguy 1981) sued and got settlement for the same thing (he fell and hit/hurt his waist). Search and see his case, which is similar to yours.

A small correction Mr TK. The law states that snow has to be cleared within 24 hours not 8 hours.

thanks ss, so if this is the case, landlord cant be blamed cuz he cleared the snow and sprinkled salt within 24 hours, but not within 8 hours as far as i remember.

You are employee of the agency and not the company you are employed in. So generally speaking your workplace company does not get involved in any way. As far as compensation goes, you did not get hurt because of agency, workplace's or Govt of Ontario's negligence, so they are not a party involved.

It will probably be best to consult an appropriate lawyer as already advised. It is quite apparent you do not want to go against your landlord, which is understandable.

I doubt you will have short-term/long-term disability insurance working through an agency. EI sickness benefits may be applicable, you will have to find that out by calling EI.

Hasni,
Google is more effective than CD. Use it.
You are paid by the hour that you work. If you canot report to work, why should the employer pay?

My google search came up with this :
7 Steps for After a Slip and Fall Accident

Medical Help ? Your health ? or the health of a friend of loved one ? is your top priority. Seek medical attention immediately. With your injuries documented, you'll be able to provide proof if you choose to seek compensation for your medical bills.

Report It ? If you fell in a store, apartment building, your friend's house, or anywhere else, make sure you report it to the manager, owner, or landlord. Ask the business manager or landlord to make a report of the accident and obtain a copy before you leave.
Keep Calm ? If you're injured on a homeowner's property, remain calm and limit your communication with them for the time being. Don't get angry or upset, because it won't change what's already happen. Focus on what's important: getting treatment for your injuries.

Take Photos ? Document the EXACT location where you fell, including stairs, railings, ice patches, or any other condition that contributed to the fall. It's important to document the date and time of your accident, because evidence can disappear and conditions can change.

Get the Info ? Collect names, phone numbers, and addresses of any possible witnesses. This will help prove your version of events down the road.

Shoes and Clothing ? Place the shoes and clothing you were wearing during the accident in a safe storage place. They may be relevant evidence at a later date.

Call an Attorney ? When considering legal action, the best person on your side is an experienced attorney. Since many slip and fall cases are difficult to prove, you need the resources of a successful law firm. We have the experience, knowledge, and history of success to recover the money you deserve.
