Hi All,
I want to buy Organic ghee of desi Indian breed. Can I find it anywhere in GTA?
If not, can I get it imported from India? Does anyone have any idea about importing ghee for personal use?
Thanks,
DT
These two links below will provide you with ample information about GHEE. I have no clue about the ORGANIC Part of it. If it involves the feeding of the cows, as it varies from farm to farm, a trip to the country side will enable you to know about their feeding, rearing, bathing etc.,.
Since it is slowly warming up, please wait till the `DOORS OPEN` program starts and a visit to one such farm will give you a first hand information straight from the people who rear them. Some of them are free.

See which is close by from the list provided. Also call and ask them if it is free and go and drop in if you have time to visit them on a day it is convenient to you and the family.

Hey FH,
I know that grass fed ghee is available in Ontario. I want to buy ghee of indian cow breed. Their is difference in nutritional level of indian and western cow breed. A2 milk is superior to A1 and belongs mostly to Indian native cows. May be you can search on internet.
Not sure, if the cow ghee of desi cow is available in Ontario. If not, then how could I import this?
Thanks,
DT
KISSAN is a brand that rings a bell. I have also seen a few bottles on the shelves here in Ontario. That is Pure Indian GHEE. It might meet your needs. You will have to read the label to verify if it is A1 or A2. As they say that the devil is in the details.. So, scrutinize your product before you buy.

Getting dairy products from India may not be possible but I am not 100% sure. India is not among the list of countries classified as free from Foot and Mouth disease.
