Chances of you landing an interview or a job is very remote if you are not readily available locally.
BEST ( EST ) way to search the job is Networking . You can also rely on workopolis , monster and alike web sites.
Good luck with your search

You always get the best advice here and it is very true. I will also throw in the reasons for it under this. Regardless, you should prepare yourself and obtain good leads and get to know about the Employer, who the HR Manager there, its location and how to get there if they call you for an interview. It becomes difficult from such a long distance to do all of these things and you have NO resources at your disposal there to do it.

If you have your Educational Qualifications verified and got its equivalency here, that will be great.

The Employer first looks for your location, YOUR Permanent ADDRESS.

He wants to know your Social Insurance Number. You only get that after settling down into Canada.

They want to know where to contact you. Your PHONE Number. That also comes in after you land here.

Then there are other requirements. Networking... Local References etc., etc.,

All of this should not discourage you, but good to know the Valid Points prior to landing here.

Please see if you can fill in the gaps.

FH.

First of all you should not publish your number in a public forum like this.

You are on the right path by starting your job search while in India. Many people don't do that, and once they are here, the outcomes could be shocking.

You Ashwini said start preparing yourself for job market. Upgrade your qualifications, validate your qualifications, see what job posters are looking for, where jobs are etc.

Sitting in India and applying for the job will not work, unless the job you are applying is not finding enough candidates - which is not the case currently. You can get a canadian IP phone and while applying don't mention where you are located and just give phone number, that could only result in Phone Interview and that is not enough to land a job. Also the interviewer will ask you where are you located and once knowing the truth, you will be hurting yourself. Better avoid that. Yes, before few days of your actual landing you could do that and tell the interviewer that you will be in country in xxx days. That might work.

And one has to be ready to do any job in Canada, if circumstances are so. If finance supports waiting for a better job (and also to upgrade qualifications), that is the first thing I would do. If not, starting any job while looking for a better job is a better option.
