For an International student fees are roughly twice or three times to a citizen/PR holder,.................

But Memorial University in Newfoundland has almost the same fees as for a citizen/PR holder,

That's why i plan to go there

Kango need not be offended - it is always a good idea to write full words, instead of short ones - that is good English. On the other hand, if he wants to stay that way, that is not we should be concerned (After all, we are not here to change the world!).

I believe this is something about the current young generation - which believes it is "cool" (sarcasm intended) to write in the "SMS language", even when not required. We live with a generation that has forgotten the art of letter writing, and the art of speaking or writing good English.

The current generation of yuppies believe that they are making a statement. Sorry, but I am not ashamed to be from the old school that believes that good English is English spoken and written well.

well for one i have realized that we Indians (no offense) just cant mind our own business, second it does not matter whether you are in Canada, UK, or any part of the world we don't lose out on one opportunity to give out advise even when it is not asked for.

You are right we are not here to change the world but its in our DNA to try to do so, look at the history of our country.

Anyways if ppl are so sensitive on language issues here, then i dont mind going back to the old school.

Just dont want to waste my time replying to irrelevant posts who are not even remotely connected with my initial query.

Thx.
