my roommate is asking me to vacate the room by april 1st. i subleted a room from her 2 bedroom basement. there is no tenancy agreement between us. she is threatening that she will through my stuffs out. i know she wont hesitate to do that. she smokes marijuana. had history of chronic alcoholism and been in police custody several time for fighting at pubs and all.
i am not in a position to find a good place in this short time.

You should have moved out earlier than she said so. She is doing a favor to you and helping you to take the decision which is due.

I don't know the rent you are paying her. Also do not know where it is that you would like to move to, if it is furnished or unfurnished? too. So, not knowing these facts, I will provide you under this a link to the room rentals that are available to you there in SURREY. Take your time and select something suitable to your needs and liking.
When you stay together with some one whose character you define in your post, you have to be very careful, because they can easily say that all of the stuff that you see in there on that premises is all yours and that could easily get you into a lot of trouble, without you having done anything. You should have known that a long time ago. You having opened upto us here, as all of the posters say, GET OUT OF THAT HOLE as fast as you can and don't even look back.
When ever you do get a chance, clean all your clothes and do the laundry etc., thoroughly and get all of the aroma. smell etc., out of all of your personal belongings, because if a K9, a sniffing dog comes near you, it will identify you also as a owner of all of the things that your room mate owned, smokes or does, the things that are illegal.
You are better off if you can leave right now and immediately. You are already off to a very good start.

Get the hell out of there as soon as possible. GTA is full of basement apartments that you could find one in no time.
