thanks for the info guys,
I spoke to him about the prices and asked him to gimme the best offer he can..
actually he is leaving canada so he has to sell every thing inlcuding his house etc.
So, the offer he gave me is $7,500/- so if i buy this car, i will have to pay PST only which is 8%.
so the car will cost me about $8100/-
is this a good deal?
If you are ready to spend $8000 why you are not going for Japanese car
atleast you should get Hundai Elantra in same price range

If I am not wrong, Hyundai is a Korean car, not japanese!

Oh well, I must be posting this a bit late, but it can be some useful information for others.
Its wise to say that Japanese cars such as Honda last longer than american cars. I bought a car last year.
I had a choice between a 94 Honda Accord ( $8000), and a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire or Cavalier for $9000.
The Honda Accord being 6 years older than its American counterpart runs better than than the Sunfire (i can say this because my friend owns a 2001 sunfire. He spent 2000 on repairs where as i spent zero dollars).
I drove 25000 Km in less than a year on my 94 honda accord and never had a single problem.
Japanese cars will NOT give u transmission problems.
American cars will give u transmission problems after u cross the 70000 KM benchmark. SO if anyone buys a used american car, please check the transmission with a mechanic before you buy it. Repairing or rebuilding a transmission can cost you 1500 to 3000 dollars. Its almost half the price of the car.
Hope this helps many of you.
