Hi,
I just received my medical, I appliead in Buffalo canadian consulate as a principal applicant for canadian immigration, and my husband is working in India . For medical its written that all family members should be examined by the same doctor. but I am in canada and my husband is in India, so it will be very tough for us, Can we do our medical seperately. please some one suggest me if u know this kind of case which hapened before.
One more thing, they are asking for certificate of "good conduct" from india for both of us...but they are not asking any poilice enquiry from canada, i am little bit confused. They di not right specifically for RCMP fingerprint check.
Please advice me.

thanks
pooja

Dear madam,

hello good news on your medicals and police clearance  .

Firstly you may like to post this in the "moving soon" "ask immigration experts" columns so that the people can reply at the earliest :) also how come are you in Canada, are you working and for how long have you been there ? a few more details would help the desis help you faster and better - hey dont worry most of us ( me too) have made this mistake in our earlier posts ;) .

secondly, though it is desirable that both are examined by the same DMP, it is permitted to be examined by two different DMPs in cases like yours. Inform CHC and then go to the nearest DMP to you with the client medical sheet.

As regards the police clearance, your husband can get it from India. I think you require police clearance from Canada if you have stayed in Canada (or any other country) for more than 6 months or else a police clearance from India would do fine for you. If you have spent more than 6 months then you may like to write to the CHC and ask their advice.

Hold on for some time , you will get a lot of replies - but to avoid delays post this in other column too which are frequented by Masood ji, the immigration expert- bye

regards

SF
