About the fourth point mentioned by Parth... I need to know, how much time does it usually takes to get this PR visa stamped. I mean I can get my wife's Passport from US to Saudi Arabia , through Fedex or something.. But does it take long to get it stamped. I have applied in London.

If it is Indian Passport it is not allow to send via Fedex or any kind of service, she may authorized some one to take passport.

You can try to contact Canadian embassy via e-mail and fax about your situation and they may allow you to submit passport personally for visa stamp and you can get back in second days.

The police check takes any where from six months to twelve. All of this depends upon the accessibility of the data base and the additional checks needed, if the case calls for. I have seen cases have taken well over an year. But do provide a minimum time for them to process properly.

Medical is unpredictable. It all depends upon individuals health and based upon the report. But they all get done side by side.
