Hi,
I just received my medical, I appliead in Buffalo canadian consulate as a principal applicant for canadian immigration, and my husband is working in India . For medical its written that all family members should be examined by the same doctor. but I am in canada and my husband is in India, so it will be very tough for us, Can we do our medical seperately. please some one suggest me if u know this kind of case which hapened before.
One more thing, they are asking for certificate of "good conduct" from india for both of us...but they are not asking any poilice enquiry from canada, i am little bit confused. They di not right specifically for RCMP fingerprint check.
Please advice me.
thanks
pooja
they cannot insist on all of you being medically examined by the same doctor. You can do your medicals in USA.
You don't need police clearance from Canada if you haven't resided in canada for at least six months since turning 18.

Hi,
Thanks for previous reply. I am living in canada from past 2 years and went to india in each summer for 2 months. I think i should take police clearance from Canada also. When I am here in canada, what is the procedure to take police clearance from India. They havn't put any paper for police clearance from canada, should i go to and take police clearance by my own in canada.
About medical, even though they wrote in the papers that all family members should be examined by the same doctor, what I should do, should i inform them that me and my husband are living in different places, he is in india and i am in canada, so it will be difficult for us to be examined by the same doctor, i hv to send them medical till 18th october, should i wait for their reply, or just send them fax stating that i am going to take my medical in canada and my husband will take in india.
will it effect our application process.
Please help me in this regards. I am in dilemma what to do, in case we are doing medical in different places then lateron if they will creat a problem , it will be difficult for us.
thanks
pooja
Get your Canadian PCC from RCMP and send to embassy.
Your local police station in India will help you get your Indian pcc
write to them and do them medicals anyway.

In India Please apply to nearest passport office where you live. Passport office will send your file to Police Station where you reside and then certificate shall be issued by passport office. In Canada also you can apply to Indian Embassy and they may issue PCC after checking from India. This way it shall take less time.
Regards and all the best.
