Hi Guys

Just recieved letter from CHC to send passports .

Our time line (wife/daughter/self):
Applied Nov 1999
Interview waiver , APR 2004
Medicals sent on Jul 2004

Reply from CHC Sep 2004 asking for passports.
We are sending passports next week and hopefuly visa with-in 2 months.

Landing on/around Apr 2005 as winters would be harsh for first landing.

Landed Feb 2001
Citizenship applied Feb 2004

Such a disparities in timing, unbelievable how these people work?

Shit !! This is crazy ?
However i am happy it has come through.
I have to be honest, I have been quite irritated since i heard the news as , I am not doing any more follow ups, no checking CIC website for updated etc . This process actually got on to me for a while !!

How much time CHC Delhi is taking now a days to return Passport after stamping if any one asked for the same?

maximum 2 months. I have seen some guys on this website who got passports back with-in 2 weeks.

But case like ours ( & i know many more like us ) where we are based outside India and have applied from India, it involves sending passports back home.

HELLO ALL,

We have submitted our passports on 27th August 2004, but visa not yet received . Is there any impact due to CIC strike for issuing of visa for PR?

Hi SKN

I have also send my passports to CHC Delhi. Passports are on its way back and should be in hand by tomorrow .

It took around 15 days for CHC to return same.

Ansh - My timeline is same like yours
