Dear Mr. Masood,
as per my earlier post, my daughter's passport expires in Oct 2004. CHC Delhi has asked us to send the passports after the medicals are done ( medicals being done on 24th May )
I dont want to delay sending the passports ( renewal takes minimum 5 weeks ). Suppose if I send the passport as it is and later on decides to land in Canada after Oct 2004, is it possible to get the visa stamped again on the renewed passport?

If the passort is valid , you will get a visa stamped on it.

Then you can renew the passport and all the visa's in the old passport are still valid, You dont have to get it restamped.

You keep a Rubber band and join the old and new passports and that is it .

The only problem is if your passport expires during the time embassy issues the visa, If you think that is going to happen renew the passport and send the new one for the visa stamping

CIC may not issue the visa if your passport validity is less than 6 months. Pl. check it out.

Try if you can get a renewal passport under Tatkal scheme within 10-15 days. Or else find out some influence in Passport office.

Better to send renewed passport.
