Job lag in Winters

Dear All,
This is to inform you that I have undergone all procedures viz Interview waiver,submission of RPR fee ,medicals ,submission of passports to CHC for visa(dis that in 1st week of June'04).Now I am waiting for my visa.can anyone tell me how much time will it take to get the visa.

That other factor worrying me is how much disadvantageous (with regard to jobs) it will be to land in Toronto in the Winters(may be around Sept to Dec 2004) as compared to summer.

Pls advise

It does not matter !
Infact its more difficult in summers as everyone is on vacation . . .

Winters are tough here. Freezing temperatures, job search, long wait at bus stops...I had a pretty bad time landing in winters. Many factories close down in/around Christmas and that period is usually slow. I worked only a few days in December. Everyday I used to go for job search, agencies, resume faxing, newcomer information center, newspaper classifieds, workopolis...

Even otherwise (in summers too) finding work in/around GTA, even industrial work is no joke. Many, many people are finding industrial work 2-3 days a week only who work through agencies. Most immigrants decide to land in or around Toronto. This has lead to surplus manpower in/around Toronto, this is what I feel.

Some are just plain lucky to find work even in winters, some just aren't! Having a car also matters as far as finding work is concerned.

I would be looking for an administrative cum Group MIS handling job.Have an experience of around 8 years working in the Chairman Offices of 3 Indian companies as Executive Assistant to Chairman.Can you throw some light whether such jobs are available?
