Hi,
I applied for PR under skiled category while in US. Now i am back to India. I have cleared all the formalities and got a interview waived. The CHC in Buffalo asked me to send the passports to US office for stamping. I do not know anyone currently travelling to US nor do i have a valid visa to travel to US.
I want to know if I can request the Canadian consulate, so that I can get the PR stamped in New Delhi rather then sending my passports by mail.
Any similar experiences, please share.
Regards
Kalvala
HI,
Do not take the risk of sendng PP, try & obtain visa for US and get it done personally, I have heard fromsomeone they do send it by courier, but I am not aware of that.

Hi,
We are in similar situation. Anytime will have to move out of US - but we expect that our PR will be ready in Nov 2005. Looking into all possibilities to stay in US until PR is completed - but chances are remote. But we did enquire with our agent how to send our passport from India. We were told that of late Fedex does accept from certain regions in India (not all) - in this case Fedex insists on the letter from the Canadian Consultate wherein they have mentioned that passport need to be sent.
Else the other alternate is that US Consulate General in India does send some Diplomacy couriers to US. In this case they will only deliver to Indian Consulate Office - send in an authorization letter to one of your friends in US to collect the same and then courier the passports to Buffalo. I do understand that this will take time - but not much choice left.
GOODLUCK
