Which place is more expensive: Vancouver or Toronto, in terms of rents, food, transportation, general cost of living, etc., etc.???
Keeping in mind the job saturation level of Toronto, and upcoming places like Vancouver (including 2010 winter olympics in VC), which place has (or will have shortly....) more job prospects: Vancouver or Toronto????
Can some experienced desis throw light on these issues?
Thanx

O Canada....
Vancouver has greate weather. Indian presence here wont make u feel an outsider. Jobs are avl. but mostly low paying like upto $2000.00 For those looking job in prfessional areas its hard and luck. U can still find a job in ur field but u have to start from low and slowly in years u move up. my friend joined royal bank because she could not get it job so now she is working in the call center at <2000 but after 2 yrs she can apply for within the company IT jobs which she can get easily. One thing i can say is life is good and living standard is high.
Toronto has fast city life and a lot of jobs. weather is really bad. hectic life. more crime. but u can easyly get a job in 2000 category and can also get one in your field much faster.
Vancouver most indians are semi-educated / labour/ businessmen
Toronto a lot of educated indians/ labour/professionals/businessman
Vancouver is cheaper for house rent/car insurance
Toronto not really that expensive as compared to vancouver and surely wages are higher which will compensate for the gap.
vancouver is near seattle
Toronto is near Chicage/NewYork/New Jersey/detroit which means business is much much better.
Vancouver no industry everything comes from toronto/china
toronto has 40% of canadas poulation and business
But surely life is better in vancouver.
i have just seen Toronto only, not Vancouver
