It is real pain when CIC gives different dates for all members of same family. I was keep hearing that for some time, but really shaw it when they send us letters for my family.

My one daughter and wife got the date on 7th August, I got it on 8th August and one daughter got 19th..

To go to busy downtown during day time is really difficult and time consuming task. As they work only during office hours it might be difficult for many people. Again kids under 14 must have one of parents with them.

Some people call the number and try to get all on the same date. Haven't heard much, but one of my friend said that he requested it and they messed it up totally.


However, I came to know one interesting stuff - which might be helpful to members.

If you have appointment scheduled later (but got a letter) and any of your family member got a date earlier to you, you can go with your family member and request for "walk-in appointment". They will ask you to sit for 30 minutes and you will be called and given a card. Its so easy!

Just today I did it for my daughter. She was scheduled on 19th but got it today (8th August) with me!

These PR card business is just a big pain... The letters they send out are simply RUDE. The treatment by the officials is like we are BEGGERS...
