Hi Experts,
I am in Canada on a study permit and wanna put my immigration file. Just want to know, am I supposed to show all 10K funds here in the bank a/c or can be partially here and partially in India also saying my dad will help me.

Funds should be in your name and can be anywhere in the world.

Based on your reply I would like to know that if I have a bank a/c back home and the funds in it are not earned by me but by my dad, can I still consider it for my immigration?
And if cic ask from where did i got those funds can i say my dad helped me? If yes, do they consider that or it should be earned by myself?

If bank account is in your name, then money is yours. They will not question the souces of funds but may ask statements for 6-8 months to see whether there was a big deposit just to satisfy immigration.
