Just wanna know something for my friend, who is landed immigrant in Canada and sponserd his wife, who is going to fly from India on dependend spouse category.

I just want to know for him, does his wife need to show funds on the port of landing (Canadian airport)?

NO, she doesn't have to show any kind of funds as she was sponsered by husband.
