Hi,
I am an international student pursuing PhD at Saskatchewan. I am planning to apply for PR by end of March 2005.
As per the CIC website, they state that the minimum funds for Single applicant is CDN$ 9,745 or so..At present, I don't have that much money to show in my account here within this short period.
My questions are:
1.) Could it be possible to show my assets back in India in form of immovable and movable assets attaching an affidavit from my parents stating I am the sole legal heir? ( I happen to be only child for my parents)
2.) Could it be possible to show movable assets such as Car here in Canada? If so, what are the formalities?
3.) What are the types of documents to be submitted to CIC to show the required funds ?
Kindly advise.
Regards
Sincerely
SURAJ
funds should 'unencumbered' meaning readily available. A car would qualify as since you can sell very quickly. You can show the market value of the car.
