Nice initiative Massood!! I'm sure people can afford it.

As an extension of Sudhish's query...is it possible to post a web link of the organisation so as to create awareness and also maybe use it as a portal to make donations. Thanks.

Good initiative Massood.

Immigration queries are crucial ones, and considering how much people are willing to pay and sacrifice to immigrate, this is a very reasonable amount. Besides, this way the questions would be fewer and more specific.

Regards, Margo

Excellent initiative!

I wouldn’t mind paying for the valuable advice. In fact I was going to ask you, if you would be willing to discuss a question on a 15-30 min basis for which I am willing to pay $20-$25. It doesn’t need to go to a charity-your money your choice.

A place on 'your' website where one could ask you a question and be charged $20-$25 to a credit card(online). Email answer within 24 hrs and may be a follow up session 1-on-1 on the phone(with U or your Colleague/staff)!!!

I know few ppl including myself, who are not willing to share the personal detail information in/to the public, hence seeking affordable ways to get the right advice.

Most of em here are to seek help ; few are so called TTH(excluding the egoistic & mockers), which helps in a general sense; gives a vague picture. I would like to see an affordable paid service to get the right advice-on a personal basis.

This looks like a step in the right direction. Thumbs up to Mr. Massood.

Dear Massood ji,

It`s a excellent thought. But $5 0r $10 means Rs 200/- or Rs.400/-
in india. I dont think there would be much people to spend that kind of money for charitable cause.
Yes, if you make this much amount as yearly fees it may work.
I am all for it, but it may effect the traffic on your site.
Theese are my views concerning the commercial aspect, otherwise this
is a remarkable idea

It is really a good step. It will help raise some money for the charitable cause and at the same time would craete awareness. It will also help members to check this site extensively before pondering upon repeat questions and will help save your precious time.

I am fully agreed and expect the same from other generous CD members.

Thank you all for your responses/comments. I will update the forum whenever a secure payment system is implemented.

Hi Massoodji,

Nice to see someone working for a cause here. I believe ur efforts on this forum amount to ur helpful and human nature. U have our best wishes for ur efforts.

Probably i am diving into details here, and u were only trying to get a hang of public opninion. Nevertheless, perhaps these questions can help clarify the objective.

Couple of questions that come to mind :

a) Is that organization a REGISTERED charitable organisation, which is also non-profitable ?

Quote:

I would like to know whether you would be willing to pay a small fee [may be between $5 to 10$] per question answered by me

b) For mutiple questions answered in the same calendar year, if donations exceed 20$, would they get a tax-receipt? U would need to track this individually right?

c) I think i know the answer, but Just to re-clarify, What percentage of this donation would go to this charitable organization?

d) What percentage of the donation received by this charitable organisation would be utilized for the cause by that organization? ( A lot of organizations do deduct administrative, management and marketing costs, and believe it or not there are some organizations that just distribute 5 to 10cents per dollar to a cause)

e) Personally, i think its a great initiatitve, and you have been doing a wonderful job here on this forum. Let me congratulate you first on that.
What kinda concerns me is that if we expect donation per every question answered (even though its really a nominal fee), do you think that people on this open forum would shy away in asking multiple questions ? Instead of linking it to per question, since it is optional anyways, perhaps just a note at the end of every answer asking to help ur cause by providing a link can promote ur appeal.

f) Are you planning to track all these donations individually? and do you plan to link this forum with ur own account hosted on a secure payment system? Or would these payments go thru the charitable organizations registered account hosted on the payment system?
BTW, A lot of organizations do establish a trust fund to protect the funds collected and ensure that they are used for the intended purpose.

Dont wanna raise too many questions here, because i believe that you are sincerely trying to work for a cause here :). Ur reputation on this forum speaks for u :) and i myself regularly donate to different causes.
But i have developed a habit of digging a bit more into the organization that i am donating my money to. ;) Hope you understand.

Once again, keep going... We all need leaders like you working for causes.
Keep up the good work.

:p bison
