Does anyone has info on availability of Carrom Boards in Toronto? I would like to buy one when I am there next time. We got a very small one (1' x 1') that kids can play.
Any info is appreciated.

Try n contact any of the offices of State bank of India ,there. They might have one to spare ,as most of SBI employees inIndia r use to playing carrom during lunch breaks.
good luck
I have seen couple of carrom boards hanging at Asian near Flea market HW27 & Albion. They are very expensive, ranging in $50 - $60. I don't think you would want to buy at that price. Try negotiating with them for the price. If you find cheaper let us know about the place.

Try overtaking child's imagination
I bought mine at the Dundas Fruits and Vegetables store (desi grocery) near Hwy 10 and Dundas road intersection in Mississauga. Cost me 45 bucks, but it was worth it.
Other desi grocery stores may carry them too, but many times these are damaged in one way or another. The challenge is to find a good one.

How are the counters?
'cos I only play with good quality tournament level non-wood counters.

Well,
With all the stuff (tools and wood) avalable at Home Depot, one could make a good board if he/she was good at woodworking.
Maple (very hard wood) is readily available here and once finished and buffed it is smooth and shiny. one could use any other type of wood pine too.
