Your old antivirus software (without current updates) will not protect your computer against new viruses. New trialware will be able to protect but I think it would have an expiry date set soon (may be 15 days or 1 months or something like that) so it won't be able to help for a longer duration of time. You will need the code to unlock the software.
If you want free antivirus software, you can use AVG antivirus.

i havent used AVG antivirus software. Can you just confirm is it as good as Nortan.

You can use recording softwares to record the songs in MP3 when they r playing. Only problem is.. you have to listen to all the songs you want to record.. and you may have to turn off other sounds in the PC.. like Windows sounds.. to avoid extra noises in the songs.. once you have mp3.. you can burn them on the CD.. the quality is not bad..
try "All Sounds Recorder XP" there is a trial version and crack available on the internet.
Is Kazaa worth for downloading or too many viruses..?
kazaa has spywares.. you should try Kazaa Lite.. which comes free of spywares.. or shareaza as mentioned before in this thread.
WinMx is also good..
