I have friends who hope to immigrate to canada soon and many are hoping for an interview waiver. It would really be interesting to know if any body ''''really''' got an interview waiver as a poll.

It also would be interesting what people did to get that interview waiver. Was it the consultant? Was it becasue of IELTS? Was it because of job offer? It would be good information for people immigrating.

Our case did get an interview waiver.

We did use a consultant and I think that helped in the prepration of the case.

Actually, none of the factors you mentioned can ensure an interview waiver by themselves.

So IELTS score or job offer or using a consultant cannot gurantee an interview waiver.

The waiver depends on how well the case is prepared.
So all the documents submitted, everything accounted for, no gaps, all educational and professional qualifications proven and substantiated, all job experience well detailed and substantiated, etc.

If anything is left to interpretation or if there are any unexplained gaps, it will trigger an interview.

Also, despite everything, sometimes an interview is triggered because of internal QA purposes, and the cases are selected mostly at random.

When an applicant receives an interview decision, it sometimes helps to get the CAIPS notes and see what is going on, and why the interview has been triggered.
For QA interviews, I have heard some of the applicants say that the letter says that it is a QA interview.

I agree with what pratickm has mentioned of file completion. If file is completed with all documents, interview is waived. I don't feel consultant can be of any help to you for interview waiver. I did not hire consultant but copied file of my friend, my interview was waived.

In my case, I didnt appear for any language exam such as IELTS. Also, there was no interview. I guess, I can attribute these to the complete package, alongwith documents as per check list.
