How safe is paying your bills on line , any do's & dont's to prevent intruders.
Pretty safe
1) Make sure all windows pathcing is up to date
2) Make sure you have a good anti-virus and preferably a firewall
3) also a pop up blocker helps

To the list you can add antispyware like Microsoft Antispyware (free download from download.com or from microsoft website) too. Also if you get email from bank stating that they need to update information, do not open the link from email. Most probably it will be fraud email or "phishing" attempt. Some fraud emails are very well written that it looks like official email complete with company logos and official colour scheme.
Though ebay is not a bank but that is linked to paypal that deals with credit card information. Spoof email tutorial:-

From internet explorer , go to windows update and scan your PC and it will tell you what security patches do u need
