I used the approx. word because I don't remember the exact amount, but it is definitely not more than 11,500.
Now tell me something, should I carry whatever amount is mentioned in the letter, or should I carry the amount as mentioned in the website. If I carry less than the amount as prescribed in the website, can they refuse me entry?

I have quoted the figures from the official CIC website, and have also posted the link above.
Its hard for me to believe that your CHC office has used the word approx. for a defined dollar amount in your visa letter. Can you please check again.

Take the amont mentioned in your letter, but dont forget to take the original letter as a proof with you.
I dont think they will refuse you entry, as long as you can show them the offiical letter from the Indian CHC
