There was a controversy two days back about the religion and the moderator Blue lobster rightfully locked that tread.

I am attaching the article that I read in the news paper. Not to create another contraversy, but to understand, how people use each other for personal gains in the name of various human emotions, whether it's religion, Patriotism, etc.

Perhaps It time we rise above these petty issues and focus on the lareger one and discover ourselves what one needs in life ?, rather than following anybody blindly.

News -- Mumbai: Shiv Sena's Blue-eyed Boy Sanjay Nirupam 'Breaks Ties with Hindutva'

Mumbai, Mar. 18: Professing new-found love for secularism, MP Sanjay Nirupam, who recently resigned from Shiv Sena on Bal Thackeray's orders, has said he has \"broken ties\" with Hindutva and claimed that he had made anti-Muslim statements as a \"disciplined soldier\" of Shiv Sena.

In an interview to Karan Thapar on CNBC's 'Tonight at Ten' programme, Nirupam said he has \"broken ties\" with Hindutva.\"There is nothing wrong in embracing the secular traditions of our country\".

A known Muslim-baiter during his days in Shiv Sena which he quit last week over differences with its leadership on Reliance, he claimed that whatever he had said was as its \"disciplined soldier. In fact, my closest friends are Muslims.\"

He also said that Congress President Sonia Gandhi was not \"at all a security threat\" to the nation. Asked whether he still felt Gandhi was a security threat as was the stand taken by the NDA after last year's Lok Sabha elections, Nirupam said \"not at all. People's verdict is the uppermost in a democracy.\"

To a question whether he would join Congress, he declined to name any party, but said it would be \"secular\". Nirupam, who had once advocated sending suicide bombers to Pakistan, also supported efforts of the Government to normalize relations with the neighbouring country.

\"If I meet (Pakistan President Prevez Musharraf during his coming visit to India), I will tell him it is a good thing you came. Relationship between our countries should improve.\"

Although I'm aware your post means well and may even elicit some mature responses, I can assure you it will eventually degenerate into the same stuff as before.

So I'm locking it. Unfortunatelyy, there are very few people who have the ability to discuss religious differences maturely and fairly. 99% of the times, it eventually gets to "My God greater than your God"...
