Friends,
Here is my situation:
I have already completed close to 2 years of my Canaidan PR status but stayed only say a total of 30 days within this 2 year period (in Canada). I am working in USA on H1 B visa. Before I finish another one year, I am not certain about gettinng my GC in USA and if I fail to get USA GC), then I will loose the eligibility of Canadian PR Renewal too(as I may not able to accumilate 2 year stay atleast in Canada).
Can someone guide me the best solution to my case? Or alternatively, is there any alternative to maintain Canadian PR status without physically present in Canada?
Pl advice, as your suggestions are more helpful to me at this stage. Thanks to you all in advance
Move to Canada and avoid losing your PR. Better to lose a job than to lose a country ..

Find a Project in Detroit, transfer your H1, Move to Windsor and drive to work everyday.

That looks like a good idea, DesiTiger. Thanks
Do we need to be on the payroll of a Canadian Company inorder to maintain our PR legally, while doing this?
Thanks
Nope , you could be on a payroll of US company but as long as you are commuting everyday for work , You are good

Two things you want to keep in mind about commuting from Detroit to Windsor
1. Cost - There are 2 ways you can cross over. Via Ambasador Bridge it costs $1.50 each way. The Tunnel costs $3.00 each way.
2. Time - During Morning and Evening rush hours, wait times upto 1 hr are possible on the Bridge and upto 35-40 minutes at the Tunnel.
Once You cross into Detroit, You are looking at another 45-60 minute drive time to your workplace (and back) unless you job is in downtown Detroit.
