hi! i don't live in canada but i am interested in moving there for university in september. i actually have a choice between going to toronto or going to the states. my future really depends on this. are there many young desis in toronto? when i went there this december i met some who were totally corrupted (into drugs and very anti-desi... no offense) and now i am afraid. i know that in the states there are MANY desis and they are very involved in hindu cultural clubs in universities... i am really not sure about toronto, though. i'd love some advice! thanks.
Hi,
Do not come to Canada if you have a choice of going to the US....take my word buddy, u r gonna regret if you come to canada...u already heard abt the desis here....and u heard it right.
I've lived and studied in the US for 3 years....its much different down there.

Hi, hope this helps
Yes in toronto there is a large indian community in universities, depends which university you are going. Drugs etc are everywhere, its for you to decide what company you keep. As far cultural clubs go there are many like hindu/ indian / south asian etc in universities. You have the check with student council of your university for more information on these clubs. Cheers
Dont forget studying @ a premier Canadian Univ comes @ a fraction of US Univ s price and is equally valued in the States .
