Hi Guys,
We received a call froma company called TML who do the marketing for the above resort. They said we have to pay $ 40/- (Credit card) and in return get a two days stay at the this resort + $ 50/- in restaurant vouchers + $ 20 petro gas card. We also have to attend a 90 minutes guided tour of the resort & seminar as part of this pacakage.
Have any of you guys done such a thing. Well if it is a genuine offer we do not mind wasting our 3 hours for enjoying the rest of the weekend for almost free. Is there a glitch somewhere.

The seminar will be a high pressure sales event to buy timeshares or otherwise invest in the resort. The pressure is on you during the seminar - they have anticipated all your likely objections and have ready answers to your questions. If you can withstand a high pressure sales spiel and are confident of being able to resist, then its a good deal - but be sure to read the fine print.
My knowledge is not from personal experience but thru one of my closest friends who opted for a similar scheme in the US. He was able to say no and walk away check book intact, but said it was really close!

Well, nothing is free! Most probably it is for time share.
Some companies qualify you on the basis on your income that they ask you over the phone. A company I know used to disqualify from free prize if one's income was less than CAD 50K/year because their product was expensive. They used to sell subscription for buyer's club that would cost around $800 a year.
A company cannot make money and pay employees and telemarketers by simply giving away free gifts or vacations.

we have had experience with this..if u r looking for fun at lower rates, u should go for it..if u take that 3 hours as a pack of info about vacation homes..& not take the sales pressure on to you..and enjoy outdoors..while kids are taken care of...i liked it..

Ok kathiawadi since you had the experience.
when you got there for the 3 hours tour/seminar they serve you refereshments. If you do not go for their timeshare pressure, would you still get the stay + $ 50 restaurant vouche. Or is it if you do not sign up then get nothing. If thats the case its not worth the drive for 3 hours seminar & refershments. smiles cherryl
First, they ask you to come as a couple. Because they know one of the partner is going to be impressed by what they say or show. Then as is said they use the high pressure selling technic. If you still want to go it's a good idea to go there keeping credit card, ATM card and all other cards at home. My experience is however restricted to middle east.I know scores of people who lost money in Royal Goan Beach Club resort.
