Being Aug 15th - I came across this http://www.mid-day.com/news/2008/aug/150808-mtv-nokia-jana-gana-mana.htm which to me does not augur well.
Every Artist enjoys Freedom but not on National Anthem, please ... I don't think member don't Respect - but I am old school, IMO, National Athem should be spared.
Its new, nobody has tried it before & must say it sounds good & all but still it does not sound right!

They look like a bunch of jun***s who are high. They need help big time coz they had to resort to this to seek attention.
We should maintain decorum and leave at least some things with a touch of formality and decency.

Hi maharaj:
I know what you mean. There is a degree of sanctity with singing the National Anthem or so I was taught. In schools I studied, when singing our National Anthem not a single person budged. They dared not. I liked it.
But you know - times, they are a changin' - ask Bob Dylan
Coming back to the topic. I loved this version of our anthem. So I am undecided as to whether this is right or not. Lets just say I have no complaints about it.
If this can get kids to sing the National Anthem - so be it

The music was good. But what was all the rock 'acting' about? I don't think most people would have a problem with the soundtrack if it was not accompanied by that poser video.
