hi all

first of all thanks to candiandesi for providing a platform to interact with all desis in canada.

I HAVE LIVED IN CANADA FOR 15 MONTHS. GOING BACK TO INDIA FOR FAMILY REASONS. MY PR CARD EXPIRES IN AUGUST 2008. HOW LONG ONE HAS TO STAY IN CANADA IN ORDER TO RETAIN PERMANENT RESIDENCY ? WHEN MY PR CARD EXPIRES CAN I APPLY FOR NEW CARD FOR ANOTHER 5 YEARS. FEEDBACK IN THIS REGARD WILL BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED.
