Rawas fish is known as Carp. Chinese store sell chiness carp. it has a slimy skin. it now where near tasty as rawas. I used to get the german carp , it is tasty like our indian rahu. I don't know if we get here. I used to get when I was in Dallas.

I thought Rawas was white salmon which you get only in Indian ocean
my son took me to wang's kitchen. the food was lousy in that restaurant and the price was too costly too. we ordered chicken fried rice + some soup. Everything was very bland. The soup was blandishly horrible. Chicken fried rice has no taste and no chicken in it all. the only solace was that the rice was basmathi and it was almost like eating white rice. my son ordered masala chicken and the curry was bland too. the chicken flesh was not tastey too.
at the end , the bill was around $17 per person. We wised taht we had gone to sangam buffet instead for $10 or $11 + tips.
Please do not go to wang's kitchen at all. the one we visited was HWY 10 and eglinton

BL the moderator had asked me how i knew these many things in just 2 years.
he has forgot that i have over 35 years of experience (incl. 20 years) abroad and i know quite well about many countries. In fact the information that i had posted comes from taking to my son who takes me everywhere where he goes (along with mis daughter/my grand child) in the weekends and that is how i know things.
