Anyone with experience in this.
What happens when a person reenters USA on a work VISA (H1/TN), having lived and worked there before as far as SSN is concerned?
Does one use the same SSN number that was given before or do you have to apply for a new one?
I am going to post this in other forums, but thought I would start here.
Thanks

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
SSN is always the same for any visa / GC or US citizenship for life

You use the same SSN. In fact I believe it is illegal to apply for an SSN when you have one already. Also the US Social Security contributions you make are against your SSN - once you have made contributions to Social Security for 10 years you are eligible to receive social security benefits, irrespective of whether you are a US Citizen or not.
Can H4 get a SSN in states and a DL.
H4 is only allowed to study in states with alegal validity of stay for six years as it it is with H1 ,but cannot work. How much truth in it...?
H4 cannot get SSN , only ITIN (income tax number to get exemption)
H4 cannot work
