We have gone through your site and have tried to get answers for our questions regarding our moving the household items to Canada.

We still have couple of queries irrespective of this.We hope that you may be able to help us in getting the answers.

Since we have never been to Canada we would like to know couple of things so that we are prepared for the travel.

Following are the questions which I hope someone will have time to answer us and help us out.


1] Can food items like pulses,spices,tea and other dry stuff be imported to Canada?If so what are the methods to follow?

2] We have these regular house cleaning liquids like tile cleaner,floor cleaner liquids.Are they allowed ?

3] When I was going through your site I noted that you have mentioned that personal and household effects are duty and tax free.Is there any domestic item which is suspectible to tax that we have to be aware of?

4] We were planning to fly to Canada and move our items through a moving company.What is the procedure and required steps that the moving company should be aware at the Border?.

5] If we are moving a vehicle in that moving truck what are the papers that are required?
