Hi Friends,
Today I passed the G1 road test and now the real test of buying a suitable used car begins. Need some feedbacks on the following:
- Does a insurance certificate from any of the driving schools make any impact on the amount of discount for a used car insurance?
- What is the cost of the insurance certificate? I have observed that the rates quoted by the driving schools varies widely from school to school.
- How to make out whether the cert. offered by a school is valid or not/whether it has any value in the insurance market or not?
What is more advisable - buy an used car from a dealer, or from a private party, and what are the checkpoints while doing so (for both)?

Insurance certificate does reduce the insurance cost.
Don't buy cheap cars on "as is basis" from dealers. Chances are it is a junk trade-in. Buy only certified if you want to buy from dealers.
