Hello all

I got my W1 (worker) Visa and will be coming to Toronto within 2-3 weeks time. My travel agent told me that I'll need a 2-way ticket (probably as proof of my return) and that if I don't, I'll have problems when I reach Toronto.

Is this true? I thought that was required only for short visits? Since I am coming on a W1 Visa, should I really take a 2-way ticket?

I have another query too - My Visa has been stamped for 6 months (though in the application, I had asked for 1.5 years) - a friend told me that this is quite alright and that it's easy to extend the Visa from Toronto. Could someone clarify whether this is true?

Hmm, since no one really replied, I guess I'd do the safe thing and take 2-way tickets. Hopefully I can find tickets that can be extended to at least 1 year. Thanks to everyone who read my post :-)
