i have reached to sarnia 3 days back.i m just getting alone here.there are no asians at all. every morning i wakes up i get ready and start walking on different roads to see any indians here.but i havent seen any indian person in these days.i have come here for study in lambton college.i m gujarati an vegetarian.there is no vegetarian food available here and i m eating only breads. if any indian is reading this plz reply me on my phone.i m just getting crazy here.i want to talk to some one plz.

PLZ PLZ PLZ don't flood the forum with so identical threads.

If someone's in Sarnia, one thread should be enough to get a reply.

I can understand your desperation (or maybe not) but no point in doing this. You've only been here 3 days! Give it some more time. I'm sure there's Indians in Sarnia, there also must be a grocery store where you can buy some stuff and cook Indian vegetarian food.

Is food the only thing that you can think of? I heard somewhere that one should eat to live and not live to eat. My sister came to theUS way back in 1982, and lived on bread and soup for many months in Fort collins, Co, before she could move out on her own and cook for herself. Today she remembers those \"glorious day\" (as she puts it). She has no complaints about living on just bread and soup.

3 days in Sarnia, and this guy already is a bag of gripes and complaints. One of that was that he didn't see one desi on the street, when he came out in the morning. I don't think this guy will stay around here for long!

why you are so desparate. stay there and try to mix up with canadians if you are not seeing any indian there. you went to canada from gujrat, a crowded and dusty place. enjoy man and try to concentrate on your studies.

Why are you so desperate in Sarnia. Look into yourself for these answers.

1. Did you expect Sarnia to be like Gujarat?

2. If not then what you are seeing is normal.

3. If you like desis so much , then try coming to Toronto and travel by bus / subway etc and you will be swamped by so many desis that you will run back to Sarnia.

4. Sarnia is not like Toronto , meaning there is still the Canadian / American culture left to see and learn from .IF you were in Toronto it would be no different from India.

5.Also there is much less competition ( for less jobs, of course ) in Sarnia than in Toronto where there are always newly landed immigrants in thousands looking for jobs.

6. So be brave and adjust to live in Sarnia. I am sure you will like it more once you have seen GTA.
