No harm done. I know your intention was clean. Jannavi, I've sent you a pm on why I requested BL to remove the post.
Anyway here is some info for newcomers who are wary of our really cool 'search' function

the points that you have mentioned to compare the two countries is very cheap. if your aim of gaining employment in gas station or driving a cab describes that you are uneducated and belong to the lower class but having lots of free money inherited not gained respectfully.Your intentions are pretty absurd. Why dont you have the guts to work in a gas station in india?
Could someone please tell me how to apply for permanent immigration to Australia. My relative who is a Hairdresser is interested in applying. She is in Ahemdabad. She is looking for either some tips on how to apply by herself or if there is any good agent in Ahemdabad who can help her and her family migrated to Australia. Is fluent English language is required or not..anyone..with information?
thanks,
Khooshi
Check workpermit.com and you will get all info. Or google DIMIA and you will get full info.
Why go through an Agent when you can do the process yourself.

Canadian Immigration:
All the forms are available on the canadian govt website. besides if any body has any questions on any particular issues, there is always this website, along with other forums and groups on yahoo and elsewhere, where lots of good people will give you valuable advise. So no point in wasting 1000-2000 $ on an agent. They cannot process your visa faster, the time taken will be the same. The only advantage of a agent is, they will help you put everything together, and you wont have to break you head in researching, writing essays about yourself, they will know, to put you under what category, how to make your job , experience description in such a way, that it will suit a particular category.
Those of who dont want to wait for 4 years to get their PR, the best way is to apply for provincial immigration. Various states ( called provinces in canada ) have their own immigration policies, and if you qualify, then you can get your immigration done faster in about a year. Another avenue would be to come on a work permit, specially to Alberta, as there is a huge demand for skiled workers due to the oil boom. Mostly mechanics, electricians, mining equipment operators, are needed. There are free job search sites, as well as each province has its own immigration website. The links to all these websites is given on the main canadian govt immigration website http://www.cic.ga." rel="nofollow">LINK
Being a canadian immigrant does not in any way help in migrating to the US. If you want to work in US after getting your citizenship in canada, then you have to apply for TN visa. If you can get a TN visa, then i am sure you can either get a H1B visa or an L1 visa to the USA directly, why go to canada and then go to usa. Having lived in USA for 5 years i can tell you, that if you are a family person , canada might be an equal or better option to settle down in. Also in canada, it is easier to get your parents, siblings, relatives sponsored and you can bring your whole " khandaan " there, lol. It is a great country.
Regs Aussie immigration too, they have the local immigration to various regions. If you apply to those, the points are less and you can get there in about 6-12 months instead of 2-3 years. Being an australian resident or citizen also enables you to travel to over 140 countries without a visa.
