I note that when I reply to any thread, I am unable to see the earlier posts in that topic. At times it becomes necessary to see the exact wordings or flow of comments in earlier posts, or even who wrote it!!!!
Please advise if it is possible to see earlier posts while writing a reply. If yes, how can it be done.
Also, since I am not an IT guy, pardon me for my ignorance, but advise me how can one "quote" a part of earlier posts??

As simple as scrolling down the page, my friend (after you hit New Reply ). Shows a max of 15 previous posts.
To quote an old post, you can go to that post and click the QUOTE button. From within the quoted part, remove the text you don't want to appear in the quote.
You can even copy paste any string and use the [.quote.] Quoted text here [./quote.] enclosure to indicate a quote. (Remove the "." next to the "quote" word in the square bracket, I just put it so it does not appear as a quote)

Hi Friend,
I tried scrolling down, but it does not go further than the submit button! Is there something lacking in my computer?
BTW, just last week I noted that when I am on this site on my computer, I do not see the signature of persons positing replies, but when I see the same thing in my son's computer, I am able to see the signatures.
My computer is an old laptop with windows 95 while that for my son is Win 98 recently upgraded to Win 2000. Could this be the difference?

Dear Friend
I doubt its the operating system (Correct me if I'm worng, Garvo). What browser are you using, Internet Explorer or NetScape?
It could be your browser version. If you're using IE, upgrade to version 6.0. You can check the version by clicking on the Help menu on the browser and selecting "About Internet Explorer"
You can download IE 6 here.

On a related note, it may be a better idea to upgrade to Win 98 if possible, it is much better than 95.
Enjoy.

I don't think operating system can cause this problem - as this is just an html page with minimum javascript - so it should display.
If it is length of the content then we have some pages even loger than that - for example some articles and classifieds. Chandresh if you can see those pages fully. Then the problem should be somewhere else.
But it should be a good idea to upgrade to windows xp and IE 6.0
