Hi all,

I am Chintan Pandya and landing to canada on 24th Nov with my family. We have 1 month accomodation with our consultant but seek rented accomodation from December. If anyone has contacts and know of some reasonable accomodation then do let me know.

You can get accomodation within a months time. It is better you come personally study different areas and decide.

I would suggest u look for an accomodation depending on the job you want to go in for. Not that you will or will not get a job in the area of your interest, but all the same it is an imporatant consideration. Suppose you are a mechanical engineer consider settling in Mississauga, Toronto or Brampton which has larger concentration of industries of your interest. If you are software engineer Ottawa is better. Just think on these lines too.

I would suggest Chintan as well as soon to be landing immigrants to be more specific in their enquiries and give their own parameters/expectations/accomodations willing to make/budgets/desires etc. in asking such questions.

Like in this question:
How big is the family??
Are the children grown up - schooling.
Budget ?
What is reasonable to the person asking - for some it might be only $500 while for many others even 1800 would be ok for the kind of life they expect to live in Canada.
An apprximate idea about the size of the accomodation wanted - for some it might be one bedroom apt, for others a minimum of three bedrooms due to family size.

Unless they ask specific questions, they can never get answers to suit them.
