Having come here I have realised the value of healthy eating unlike in India where eating is a ritual than a requirement. Lost 12 pounds and feeling a lot healthy !!!!!!
Definately food habits are changed a bit.
I started loving salads, steamed vegs., baked chichen a lot. don't like much of roti & rice(probably coz have bcome health concious) but do cook every day fresh chapatis & any kind of vegetarian dish that will go with chapati for hubby & son.
Have not ever skipped gym or evening walk (weather permitted)
Definately dressing is changed as working in professional field & also have found out about importance of good dressing.
Hubby does help around the house a little bit...mostly in basement, yard & a little bit here & there.
Mostly women do lot of hard work here & that is the reason mostly miss our 'kamwali bai' more than anything else.

Great you have lost weight & have become health-conscious.
I too have lost 8 kgs. weight after coming here mainly due to travelling by bus & walking a lot for going to work & back. Ofcourse have a proper lunch or dinner only once. But I used to do Yoga regularly in India & even after coming here. But for last 6 months don't do it due to irregular work timings.

It's the final countdown, isn't it?
For me, the countdown hasn't begun yet. But want to go back around March 2006 before the new academic year begins in India. Hopefully I should be able to pay off all the money & save money for the tickets.
I guess eating outside, as in your case, plus non-veg food might be a factor in not losing weight. I don't eat non-veg so that makes it a little easier.
