I've edited my post, I didn't want to give any more realistic examples of things happening India, Even though they are true still it hurts to write down about them. (For me atleast).
Differences exist everywhere. Never try generalizing the People.
It doesn't make sense for one to come back from Work, sit in front of TV/Internet for an hour, Browse the Headline and make a comment generalizing people.
If a discussion has emerged after some efforts on what went wrong, where, why and then if some one has commented, a discussion deserves, else I doubt it.

Id like to request you remove the message below.
this is a very racist/biased and stereotyped comment that I find very offensive.
How is it possible to stereotype an entire nation/culture through the actions of a few?
Thanks

Look guys. The problem is caused by middle eastern people. Wherevere you have people from middle east there are usually problems. They say it is because of poverty, discrimination etc.
But that's their culture. celebrating on the streets when people died on 9/11 etc.
Wherever Indians and Chinese live very few problems because we are hard working people and despite our poverty we get what we want by peacful ways.
OK let me reword it. The problem is caused by people immigrating from countries where there is no freedom of religion and whose religion describes other people as infidels. for these people living with people of other religions is always a problem.
Make no mistake, I am not saying the whole middle east people are bad.
Unfortunately, most people in middle east don't know about other religions and hence they talk about other people as infidels etc.
There is racism in middle east too. Open any news paper in India and the advertisements for jobs in middle east say "Only muslims can apply" or "Only muslims and christians can apply". Isn't that racism? You can't even immigrate to some of the middle east countries.
In today's world racism is not by white man but racism is alive in middle east where non-muslims cannot build a temple or gurudwara or church

Let me ask and tell you a few things Maple_asian
Have you lived anywhere besides your community or where you are a minority. Have you ever attempted to live in an integrated society. I doubt it. and seriously re-read the whole pasted articles, the whole drunken brawl was started by a bunch of young blokes out to have fun and not arab or people of middle eastern origin.
And you talk about Religous freedom, Tell me honestly what consitutes Religious Freedom, Its is the ability to practice and setup your place of worship without any condemation and discrimination. Mapple_asian, visit Dubai, Visit Doha, Visit Manama and Visit Jeddah, Visit Cario, Vist Beirut then we can talk about freedom,
As you said that most people in these region are not aware of whats happening, the same is true of the western medias coverage of Middle Eastern Region You only get a biased review, don't take my word for it, ask your friends who have lived in the middle east and espically Dubai.
I can only say one thing there are things in life which cannot be taken on face values, unless you have faced and experienced repression in this region please refrain your self from criticising.
No offense was meant and hope none was taken
Kash

As I said earlier, most of the middle eastern countries have no religious freedom. Consequently, the people there get only oneside of the story. Can you imagine setting up a Hindu temple in Saudi Arabia, Yemen or Iran for instance? How can people there know about other religions if there is no religious freedom?
I am not sure which country you are from but having lived in a country like India where anybody can follow any religion without fear of persecution and where there is no state sponsered religion, I know the value of religious freedom.

I don’t believe it all about religion. It is all about education. People who talk about jihad, infidels are underclass people with no education and of-course some educated people want to have control & power , brain wash these non-educated people for their own advantage. If you look around, educated Muslim people in India, Pakistan and other Muslim Countries, they respect other religion . and compare with around you with un-educated people whose attitude are totally different.
Said that, Not just education matters, but if their parents are un-educated and don’t respect other religion. then their children also follow their footsteps even if they are educated.
Look at Kerala state . Most of educated Muslims are ashamed to have more than two kids. Muslims , Hindu and Christians live peacefully there
