Is it necessary for teachers to appear in IELTS of Academic Stream or General stream?

I have come to know from someone that occupation of Teacher need to appear for Academic stream and need to score atleast 7 bands to apply for PR visa to Canada.

Your guidance will be really appreciated.

If you are applying for immigration to Canada then you have to appear in the “General Training” option.

The max points for english proficiency is 16. You will only get the 16 points if you score atleast 7 in each section of IELTS.

How to calculate points for English proficiency from IELTS score?

For each skill (reading, writing, speaking and listening) use the following conversion and then add up your points:

IELTS score 7.0 and up = 4 points
IELTS score 5.0 to 6.9 = 2 points
IELTS score 4.0 to 4.9 = 1 point
IELTS score below 4.0 = 0 points

Overall score from IELTS result doesn't count.

If your overall score for the six selection criteria is 67 or more then it is fine.

Immigration is based on all of the 6 selection factors, meaning that the overall score is more important than individual factors.

But good score in everything that you do always a plus......lol
