Ok guys, let's do it like this:

We fix the meeting for 10th January but in any case, I wanted to meet some key persons before that so tha we can plan the agenda for the meeting.

I would therefore request GG, GC and BL to come over to my place at a time which can be suitable to all of us - say next Saturday the 13th? or the 20th.

And jake - I can't stop the snowstorm, but I can offer your family and you to stay with me - aren't we friends already??? So try to come over first for this initial discussion, and then definitely the meet on 10th.

Come, let's start the ball rolling.

I have sent a few messages to people who have shown interest in the meeting..........but I find all those messages, plus a couple others that I sent long back, lying in my outbox, instead of the folder "sent messages". Why is that so. Haven't these messages been delivered?

I got your PM about the address and directions, thanks. Don't know about Garvo and GC but 20th would work better for me. Have a christmas party to attend on the 13th.

And speaking of GC, where is he these days anyways? I can imagine him perpetually eating Rava masala dosas at Sarvan bhavan .

Man, dont know what to say about your offer...very heart warming to know that you would open your door to my family and me.

13th is definitely no good for me either. 20th sounds better in theory. I've taken 12-17 off from work to try and put a rush on completing my project. Hopefully I will not be slaving away on the same , come the 20th. Anyway it is still a close call as far as my visit is concerned.
I am sure you guys will do fine without me anyway

p.s: If i do come on the 20th I'll be driving up/down the same day so the earlier the meeting the better.

hi everyone.. this is too good.. I really appreciate Chandresh and all others coming up with this brilliant idea of having a gathering to know eachother better and making new friends and discuss on all topics which will help everyone.

this couldn't have come at a better time as I am planning to move up there very soon.. could be as early as 13-14th Dec or the weekend after.. still not sure though.. will come to know this week if any more projects here or not.. in case not then I would be happy to come to Toronto (place still not decided but definitely somewhere close-by.. if anyone of u can suggest a good starting place which is central and cheap that would be great.. Mississuaga? Kitchener? Scarboro? Brampton?) and meet u all.. I will surely need all ur help as I know nobody there... and offcourse I would also contribute anything that is required from my side.

I am landing in Toronto on Dec 13th. As of now I just have one accquaintance in Canada. That person has been very pally and helpful.

Let me tell you one thing before even I start ...

I am not against ""The Next Step""", but I don't understand the reason of having a meeting. Is it only to help the new comers or to make relationship beyond the forum??

I can see the members who are replying are senior desis for forum and also in canada.

If it is for new comers then I think we have enough information in Charcha or on this website. Why would we have to meet in person if we can get the same information on the web with few clicks??

Do we have any agenda for the meeting????? I think that will help some ppl to take a decision.
