I am not expecting anything in return except that there should be someone receptive to the ideas. There is simply no point in trying to be nice when no one is prepared to accept what you have to offer.

Guys, this is a good initiative to create a network of local desis.
But I'll have to pass this time.........perhaps in future.... when I can manage to get some time away from my huge family n friends here.

Would love to attend but I will be away during December. Definitely plan to attend future meetings.

Hey Friends,

We all have different ideas, different ways of doing things, and definitely different priorities. So let us stick to this - who ever is interested, JOIN IN! And as I have written earlier, if we are not able to do what we want to do because of lack of participation i.e. help new and old immigrants, we still will have the benefit of a few good friends that we might develop and some good friendly discussions (may be followed by some \"Taash Patti\" or pot luck dinners) sessions thru this initial meeting.

To CPM, I can only say, come over to meet us, have a coffee with us - and who knows, you might start liking being with us!!!

But yes, I truly believe in one thing, since I have had opportunities to organise a lot of social meetings, entertainment events etc. - anyone who feels he is unable to spare a couple of hours for some meetings - is never serious about the cause of the meeting.

And those who cannot make it to Dec 7 meeting - but are really serious about the whole affair - give us a date which will be suitable to you, so that the second meeting can be organised then.
