I'm having USB 1 on my computer. I am planning to buy 1GB USB flash drive with is usb 2.0
Is it good to have 1 GB USB flash drive that is 2.0 to use with my usb 1 ?
Anyone tried this ?
First check if the 1.0 GB USB 2.0 flash drive has a backward compaitbility with USB 1.0 or 1.1 ? 90% of them do have that, but transfer rates will be too slow.
Like naudurivsm pointed out it should work.
The other thing you can do is if your computer has an empty PCI slot purchase one of the cards from here and your good to use the usb 2 at the speed at which it was designed to be used http://www.factorydirect.ca/catalog/product_search.php

Also, check your operating system.
If you have Windows 98, you might need to download the driver for the USB flash drivefrom the manufacturer's website.
Rgds.

Think about buying a USB 2.0 PCI card to add to your computer. These cards are dirt cheap and boost your transfer rates hugely.
Especially helpful if you have a digital camera, iPod etc.
