Hello CD people,
I am becoming a Canadian Citizen on 09/march/2006. I will become a Canadian Citizen on that day with $40 K debt (This is just a side note).
Although i am aware that there are some benefits of being a Canadian Citizen, I would like to start this thread to be a one stop thread to find out it's benefits.
How else can i use my Canadian Citizenship to uplift my standard of living, Work in my profession, Get benefits of an Industrialised nation, Retirement benefits ? and so on.......
What comes to my mind is this :
1. Travel to USA / Get a TN visa / Work in USA etc...
2. Travel to many countries without Visa, get a job there and then change to workpermit.
3. Stay outside Canada and then come to Canada after the age of 60/65 to enjoy retirement benefits (after a mandatory 10 years residence at this point of time)

Is there any other legal use with this Canadian Citizenship?

What some people say is that with Canadian citizenship, you can get better pay in other countries.

Provided you have worked in a good job. The thing is your work experience in Canada might not really count for anything since you might have worked in entry-level jobs or labour jobs.

Canadians are viewed as more trustworthy and have a good image abroad. Just ask all the Americans who travel with a Canadian flag on their backpacks.

The greatest benefit I see of having Canadian Citizenship is that it makes you eligible to travel to diff conties including europe . Its easier to operate business in european countries with canadian citizenship . ( That's what now I am waiting for ) ..
Another biggest benefit of Canadian PP may be that you are not looked by suspicion at the immigration on airports . Perosnally myself have travlled over 50 times to different countries and still doc's were screened as if.....
